In her opening address, Ms. Liu Chiyan emphasized that the center represents a significant step in the high-quality implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and marks the beginning of a “golden era” for Horgos. She noted that the center will play a vital role in streamlining foreign trade processes, establishing a unified platform for traders, expanding sales channels and markets, and promoting both imports and exports.

According to Liu, the center is expected to attract more businesses, enhance cargo handling capacity, and raise the level of trade liberalization and standardization in the region. The Horgos Eurasian Imported Products Distribution Center spans a total area of 20,100 square meters, including 2,930 square meters of retail space and 11,130 square meters of warehouse facilities. It houses a brand promotion hall, a cultural exhibition area, a live e-commerce hub, and logistics and transportation support infrastructure.

The center is designed to connect resources and markets from Central Asia, West Asia, and Europe, while leveraging Horgos’ strategic advantages to serve both domestic and international traders.

Liu stressed that the center will operate on the principles of cooperation, mutual assistance, and win-win outcomes. She also stated that cooperation agreements have already been signed with countries along the Belt and Road corridor, including Turkey and Kazakhstan.
